In the summer of 2012, the Hollings Center awarded a small grant to Mary Marshall Clark of the Columbia University Center for Oral History (CCOH) and Lucine Taminian of the American Academic Research Institute in Iraq (TAARII). The grant intended to facilitate the development of guidelines for the ethics and methodologies of collecting oral histories in conflict and post-conflict situations. These guidelines were published in late 2013.
